How many bedrooms do you have?
You’ll have full access to two comfortable bedrooms during your stay. The third bedroom is reserved for the owners and not part of the rental.
How do I get from the airport?
Our home is 20 minutes from Mérida International Airport (MID). Taxis are easy to book at the airport kiosks before exiting the airport (about $15 USD). Please note, Uber is only available for airport drop-offs.
Where is the property located?
Our home is located in the Santiago neighborhood of Mérida, Yucatán, between Calle 49 and 73. The exact address will be shared once your booking is confirmed.
Do I need to rent a car?
A car isn’t necessary since we’re centrally located and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and museums. Ubers are also easy to get and very affordable. If you’d like to rent a car, you’re welcome to—just note that the garage fits only a compact vehicle.
Is the area safe?
Mérida is one of the safest cities in North America, with a low crime rate. In fact, it’s currently ranked the second safest city in the Americas and #30 worldwide. The Centro Histórico is generally very safe, especially during the day, and the Santiago neighborhood—where our home is located—is one of the safest in the city. As in any city, we recommend taking normal precautions at night. The area is well-lit and regularly patrolled.
How far are you from the beaches?
Our property is located 35 minutes from the nearest beaches in the town of Progreso. You can easly take an Uber or bus to Progreso. Uber costs are approximately around $23 each way.
What is the check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged upon request.
Is there Wi-Fi available at Casa Roma?
Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, perfect for remote work or streaming your favorite shows.
Are pets allowed in the rental?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, especially those with allergies.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 14 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days will incur a fee.
Is parking available on the premises?
Yes, there is a one-car garage available for guests, with additional street parking in front of the house.
